How to Split an Image Before Sending it on WhatsApp

Currently, WhatsApp is one of the apps that is working hard to increase security and improve the experience of its customers. The world leader in quick messaging is used to deliver important news and, above all, listen to hundreds of millions of users. One of the most anticipated things is cropping the image before sending it to a contact.

This feature has been available for some time for iOS users, who have managed to hide unwanted information in their photos. However, it took a little longer to reach Android terminals, something that finally happened a few months ago. Next, MARCA explains how to crop the image, whether from iOS or Android.

This is How the Image is Split on iOS

It’s common to want to share a nice family photo or an acquisition, like a car. However, this could expose the child’s face or license plate. That’s why many users turn to the pixel option. The way to do this on iOS is very simple.

The first thing you should do is open WhatsApp and tap on the option to share photos or videos with a contact. Choose an image and open the editor. After that, just click on the pencil icon in the upper right corner, and in the color bar, go to the bottom to choose the pixel. Finally, make a drawing gesture on the area you want to cover and upload the image.

This is How the Image is Split on Android

The method for modifying image elements on Android is certainly very similar to that on iOS, although there are some nuances. On this occasion, open WhatsApp, select the respective image and click on the pencil icon. Unlike iOS, on Android there is no pixel option in the color bar, but in the lower right corner, in an icon with a dash that mimics the method. Once you’ve made your choice, draw in the area to be modified and you can now upload your pixelated image.
